Woman, 21, For Sale, 2021

Film, 00:12:00.

Woman, 21, For Sale is a recording of a job application being written. The work exposes the emotional and psychological toll of having to "sell oneself" for a job that not only fails to meet basic needs but also demands the sacrifice of personal dignity and values. The content of the job application reveals the dehumanizing aspects of low-wage work, where the individual is expected to suppress their emotions, abandon their dreams, and endure mistreatment for financial survival. The applicant acknowledges the dissonance between the company's values and their own, but out of desperation, agrees to overlook these ethical concerns in exchange for a paycheck. The work exposes the vulnerability of a person being forced to work against their morals/values in order to make a living.
